HELLAND BRIDGE
Bodmin 4 miles; Wadebridge 7 miles.
A delightful rural hamlet of natural stone cottages, set deep in the wooded Camel valley. The beautiful, old and very narrow bridge from which the village gets its name crosses the tumbling River Camel, famous for its salmon and trout fishing. Lush green meadows, ancient woodland and abundant wildlife characterise this area of quite remarkable beauty, and yet within a short drive you'll find the fabulous Eden Project (9 miles), several stately homes and renowned gardens and arguably the country's best surfing beaches along the north Cornish coast. Walk the coast path over the cliffs and down to rocky coves, marvel at the beauty of Padstow's harbour and winding streets, explore the open spaces of Bodmin Moor or cycle the Camel Trail as it winds its way from High on Bodmin Moor down to the sea at Padstow.
